  • The sync user has "Enable Two-Step Verification" enabled, however the "Web Services Only" is not enabled

Solutions to fix Sage Intacct sync error: Intacct user authentication failure

Check if the Login details entered are incorrect. For this Reenter Sage Intacct login information in Bill.com:

  • Start by Selecting Settings
  • Go Under Sync
  • Now select Setup
  • Next, click Select Login Info
  • After this Select Edit
  • Enter Sage Intacct Admin Login credentials
  • Finally, Select Save

Web Services only is not enabled

Be sure to Enable Web Services Only for the sync user in Sage Intacct:

  • Start by clicking on Select Company
  • Next, Select Users
  • Now Select Edit next to the sync user
  • Finally, Enable Web Service Only

Web Services Only is enabled

In case the web services only is enabled, or two-step verification is off, and the error still occurs, implement the following steps for the Sage Intacct sync user login information

  • In Sage Intacct, reset the password for the sync user
  • After the new password has been created, reenter Sage Intacct login information in Bill.com

In the case of Entity ID

  • In the case of Single-Entity accounts:
    • Start by Editing the login info and removing Entity ID. Entity ID is not required.
  • In the case of Multi-Entity accounts syncing at the Entity level:
    • Confirm the Entity ID in Sage Intacct:
      • Navigate  to Company 
      • Click on Entities
      • Now Confirm the Entity ID for the Entity that will be syncing with Bill.com
      • Finally, Reenter the Entity ID in Bill.com
      • Lastly, select Save
