The Intacct integration ships with the following abilities:

  • The Bi-directional sync along with Intacct
  • New data from Intacct has been synced once every hour
  • The Transactions have been generated within the Invoiced posts to Intacct in real-time

The Setup

To be able to set up the Intacct integration the user first requires  these bits of details:

  • The Intacct Company ID
  • The Web services user

To Be able to Set Up a Web Services User

The next important step is to set up a web services user for Invoiced on Intacct. This is important so that you can utilize a dedicated web services user for Invoiced to ensure that it has the right permissions as required. It is also important to not use a non-web services user as any password changes can break the integration.

  1. The user is required to make sure that their company has web services enabled on Intacct in Company → Admin → Subscriptions.
  2. Go to Company → Admin → Web Service Users. Now add a new user. The user can also use "Invoiced" as the User ID, Last name, and First name. The email address needs to be a company email address that will not change. The User type should be "Business," and the Admin Privileges should be "Full."
  3. Once you have saved the new Web Services User, go back to Company → Admin → Web Service Users. Now Select Subscriptions next to your new user. Within the subscriptions page, check out the boxes for Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cash Management, and Order Entry modules.
  4. Next Select the Permissions options next to the Accounts Receivable module. 
  5. Next, click select the All radio in the top right. 
  6. Finally, Click Save.
  7. Next Click on the Permissions option next to the General Ledger module. Next, Select the Read-only radio in the top right. Finally, Click Save.
  8. Click select on the Permissions options next to the Cash Management module. Now Select the Read-only radio located within the top right. Click Save.
  9. Click on the Permissions options next to the Order Entry module. Now Select the Read-only radio in the top right. Click Save.
  10. Now Click Save on the subscriptions page. The user should receive an email with the company ID, username, and password information. The user will need these credentials in Invoiced to connect to the user’s Intacct account.

Connecting Intacct on Invoiced

To do so:

  1. Go to Apps → Intacct in the Invoiced application.
  2. Next, Click Install.
  3. Now Enter the Intacct company ID, username, and password for the Invoiced web services user created earlier. In case the user is using a shared multi-entity account, they should also enter the entity ID you would like the connection to use.
  4. Click Save. Intacct is now connected. Next, you will need to configure the integration before using it.
  5. One can also customize the integration, along with the data they want to sync to/from Intacct, account mappings, and other integration behaviors.
  6. Finally, Click Save to allow the integration.

The reason for this sync error too occurs

This error usually occurs when an invoice is unable to sync from Bill.com as the Payment Term used is not present in Sage Intacct.

How to fix the sync error

The fix for this problem is made in Sage Intacct by creating an AR Term to match the Payment Term used in Bill.com.

To create an AR Term in Sage Intacct:

  1. Navigate to Accounts Receivable
  2. In the Setup section, select AR Terms
  3. Click Select Add
  4. Now Create an AR Term with the same name as the Payment Term in Bill.com
  5. Click Select Save
  6. Finally Sync again

Once the sync is complete, Invoices will appear in Sage Intacct
